Azzurra is a 7th generation TP52, designed during the autumn of 2011 for Alberto Roemmers' team. The very experienced team lead by Guille Parada and Vasco Vascotto knew exactly what they wanted for their new boat, and brought very clever ideas for the deck layouts and internal systems. The hull shape is an evolution of Quantum Racing 2011 and was built by King Marine in Valencia. Micky Costa was the project manager during the construction, and he did an outstanding job. The mast was built by Southern Spars and the solid steel keel by Re Fraschini (Milan). The structural engineering was carried out by Pure NZ.
